“Bless you”

Whenever someone sneezes, most people say “Bless you” or hear someone else say words.

Someone says “Bless you” or any other phrases as a sign to wish you good health or a long life since when you sneeze, you are obviously sick, they are just wishing you to get better basically. This phrase originated thousands of years ago with the romans. At first it was “Jupiter preserve you” or “Salve”, which means “good health to you and wish each other a “Long life”. Then the phrase “God bless you” came along from Pope Gregory the Great, who spoke it in the 6th century during the bubonic plague. The phrases for when someone sneezes are just wishing them to get better.
