“Presidents’ Day”

Presidents’ Day is an American holiday on every 3rd Monday of February, celebrating all U.S. presidents past and present. This holiday was originally made to celebrate Washington’s Birthday by the federal government but then people starting knowing it as Presidents’ Day. After that it moved on to 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for workers all over America. There are still a few states today who just celebrate Washington’s Birthday individually honoring him. Now today it is just known as Presidents’ Day throughout most of America celebrating all the Presidents.
